Où étais-je?

Why sit at home writing about life, when you could be out living it?

Here is what I've been up to...

First day of college got me like...

Vintage 100% silk threads from the Madame Grès couture house
All my fashion teachers used to work in famous couture houses here in France, so they now teach us the techniques these houses would use.  Some of these couture houses include, but are not limited to, Madam Grès, Yves Saint Laurent, André Courrèges, and Nina Ricci.

Hermès exhibit at Le Carreau du Temple
Backdrop by Hermes Artisan
This exhibit was very educational.  And you know it's an amazing opportunity when the line to get into was blocks long.  At the exhibit you can see the Hermès artists at work while they bind the leather belts and watches and then graph the silk to paint the scarfs.  There was even a class you could take to learn how they do the finishing stitches around the scarfs by hand along with a Q&A session with the designers.

Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2016 at the Grand Palais
We all have those wildly implausible dreams, and to some, living in Paris would be that implausible dream, but to me that's reality.  Therefore, my wild dream simply must be extravagant.  It is declared that my wildest dream is to one day have my designs walking down that bright pink Victoria's Secret runway.
